Love it or hate it, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class isn’t going to change. Nope not one single bit! After yesterday’s Mercedes product roadmap leak that reveal not just some new variants of the E-Class , but some AMG specials as well, we now have the first spy shots of the new G-Wagen, which even under wraps looks pretty much the same. Purists will take it as good news, while those who have been waiting years for a facelift will have to well… keep wait as not much appears to have changed visually. Even with the heavy camouflage, it is easy to spot that the SUV has grown wider. The the front grille, headlamps and bumper get a slightly refreshed look and the same goes for the rear bumper which gets minor modifications. The SUV still maintains its boxy looks by sticking to the traditional 90 degree angles (this is a 40 year old design) and straight lines, which stand for its practicality. But as the AutoBlog points out, the new Geländewagen may be a bit lighter as it will come with new doors that will not be as heavy as the last one. As brute and practical as it may be, we really cannot wait to see the AMG version.
