After unveiling the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe internationally, Mercedes-Benz India finally took the wraps off its last launch for the year, which is the Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC sedan that is priced at Rs 74.35 lakh and sits between your standard C-Class model and the C63 AMG.
The AMG-tuning is subtle and the sedan looks similar to the standard C-Class, but sits a lot lower. There is a polished grille on the front with a diamond pattern, 18-inch AMG-specific alloy rims and a modified rear bumper with an undertray with a diffuser for better airflow accompanied by dual exhaust pipes. The interiors get the all-black treatment with contrasted colours for the stitches along with metal door inserts, seat belts and more.
Coming from Mercedes-AMG, the tuning division has gone all out with this tuned version of the C-Class sedan. Underneath it packs in a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 petrol engine that produces 367hp of power and 520Nm of torque. Since this is a 4MATIC version, power is sent to all wheels via a 9-speed 9GTRONIC automatic gearbox.
The 4MATIC all wheel drive (AWD) system has been given a rear-bias setup to push 69 percent of the power to the rear wheels. The powerful V6 combined with the 4MATIC drive system will catapult its occupants from 0-100kmph in just 4.7 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 250kmph.
Other AMG goodies include a sports exhaust system that not just sounds good but is there to bump up the performance and works with the Dynamic Select drive program as well. AMG's Ride Control sports suspension with a 3-level adaptive damping adjustment provides for a sporty ride that does not compromise on comfort.
Mercedes-Benz India recently launched its facelifted CLA sedan marking the company’s 12th launch in the country this year. The vehicle is priced it at is Rs 31.40 lakh, with the petrol 200 Sport offered at Rs 33.68 lakh and the diesel 200 D Sport at Rs 34.68 lakh.
