McLaren debuts its first electric vehicle, the McLaren P1 toy car for three to six year olds

McLaren has announced the first all electric vehicle by the automobile manufacturer. The McLaren P1 toy car is a smaller version of the full sized McLaren P1. The McLaren P1 is, in turn inspired by the iconic McLaren F1. ![mclaren-p1-2](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/mclaren-p1-2.jpg) The mini sized McLaren P1 is almost identical to the full sized version, except for two details. There first is an option available in the toy car that is not available with its elder brother. Kids will be able to experience the joy of driving around in an open top McLaren P1, something that adults cannot do unless they squeeze themselves into this toy car. The second major difference is the driving position, which is centrally located, just like the original McLaren F1. ![mclaren-p1-1](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/mclaren-p1-1.jpg) The toy car has the signature McLaren dihedral doors. The recommended age is three to six years. The toy car also has the rapid acceleration the bigger McLaren cars are known for, and goes from 0 to the top speed of 4.8 kilometers per hour in just 2 seconds. There are three forward speeds and one reverse speed available. There is one push button for starting and stopping the car. ![mclaren-p1-3](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/mclaren-p1-3.jpg) A standard mp3 player and audio system is packed into the diminutive electric vehicle, and the player is pre-loaded with nursery rhymes. Unlike the bigger cars, the toy car is only available in one colour, Volcano Yellow. ![mclaren-p1-5](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/mclaren-p1-5.jpg) The toy McLaren P1 will be available with McLaren retailers around the world starting from the end of October, and is planned to be available with global toy retail chains later. This is the most compact car by McLaren yet, and shows that the company is interested in making electric vehicles. The McLaren P1 toy car will be available for £375 (Roughly Rs. 32,615).
