Mahindra celebrated the production of seven lakh vehicles from its plant in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. It achieved this milestone figure within 10 years of its inauguration, which took place in December 2005. Mahindra’s plant hit the six lakh mark in November 2014, and has produced one lakh vehicles in less than a year. This plant currently manufactures the Bolero, Scorpio, Gio, Alfa and the Champion.

Pravin Shah, the president and chief automotive executive at M&M Ltd said, “This remarkable achievement is a significant moment for us in our automotive journey and bears testimony to the relentless effort put in by each member of our Haridwar plant. The plant has constantly achieved manufacturing excellence and reflects the commitment and spirit of accepting no limits in keeping with our Rise philosophy. I am sure that this milestone will be a stepping stone to many more accolades for our Haridwar plant in times to come.”
