Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler launched in India; prices start from Rs 71 lakh

Jeep has finally unveiled its selection for the Indian market. After what seemed to be an endless wait for fans in India, the American automotive brand today unveiled its Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler models in India with prices starting from Rs 71,59,104. We begin with the company’s lowest priced offering (definitely not the least capable one), the 4-door Wrangler Unlimited that is priced at Rs 71,59,104. Next up is Grand Cherokee that will be available in three models, the Grand Cherokee Limited priced at Rs 93,64,527, Grand Cherokee Summit priced at a staggering Rs 1,03,39,919 and the top-of-the-line (all thrills) model called Grand Cherokee SRT at (an equally thrilling) Rs 1,12,07,825. Clearly, the launch at Jodhpur does hint that Jeep is interested in customers akin to luxury brands than the average joe. So what do you get with these shocking price tags? The same produces 240 bhp of power and 570Nm torque. The V6 will be coupled to an 8-speed automatic gearbox with a paddle shifter and will send power to all 4 wheels with the Quadra-Trac II (Limited) or Quadra-Drive II (Summit) systems. The Wrangler features a 5-speed automatic transmission.
