Jeep Compass all set for production in India, to launch globally next year

The 2017 Jeep Compass will be launched in India by mid of next year in three trim configurations. The Jeep Compass will get FCA’s (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) small wide architecture in India which is a fully independent suspension with Frequency Selective Damping in front-and-rear-strut system, and precise electric power steering.

It will come in a total of five engines including three petrol and two diesel, across different markets.These include a 1.4 multiair turbo, a 1.6 and 2.0 turbo diesel, 2.4 tigershark petrol, 2.0 tigershark flex fuel (ethanol), and transmissions include a 6-speed manual/auto, and a 9 speed auto.
It will feature a 3.5- or 7-inch LED driver information display (DID) instrument cluster, steering wheel with integrated audio, voice and speed controls. In terms of the exterior the legendary seven-slot grille gets a fresh look with individual chrome slots in a Gloss Black field.
