The second-generation Hyundai Venue, which was launched in November 2025, has been able to achieve a 5-star rating in both Adult Occupant Protection and Child Occupant Protection tests. Bharat NCAP has stated that it conducted these tests on the base-spec HX2 and the top-spec HX10 trims. Here is a detailed look at the scores.
Adult Occupant Protection Score
The frontal impact tests, which were conducted at 64 km/h, showcased that the Hyundai Venue offered “good” protection to the driver’s and passenger’s head and neck. The reports deemed the protection to the driver’s chest as adequate, while that for the co-driver’s chest was rated as “good.” Beyond that, the sub-compact SUV showcased “good” protection to the driver’s and passenger’s thighs and pelvis region. The report further detailed how the tibias of both the driver and co-driver received “adequate” protection. The driver’s feet received adequate protection as well.
The Venue showcased a commendable performance in the deformable barrier test as well, scoring 15.5 out of 16 and showing its true strength from the side against a deformable barrier at 50 km/h. The Venue offered good protection to all parts of the driver, ensuring that the driver survives with only a few minor injuries in the event of a crash.
Scores in the Child Occupant Protection
The score remains on the higher side for Child Occupant Protection. The Venue was able to achieve a score of 44.46 out of 49 points, and in the dynamic score category, the Venue was able to score a full 12 out of 12 points in the CRS installation tests as well. In the vehicle assessment category, the car received 9 out of 13 points.
Hyundai has loaded the Venue with a slew of new features, including 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control, front and rear parking sensors, electronic parking brakes with auto hold, along with TPMS and Level 3 ADAS. Priced between Rs 8 lakh to Rs 15.69 lakh, the Venue competes against the likes of Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Nissan Magnite, and Skoda Kushaq.
