Germany proposes ban on internal combustion engine powered cars by 2030

The Federal Council of Germany, Bundesrat has proposed a ban on all new internal combustion engine powered vehicles by 2030. Only zero-emission vehicles, with pure-electric or hydrogen-fuel cells will be allowed to go on sale in the country thereafter. The Bundesrat is a legislative body representing the sixteen states of Germany.
