Fresh Tata Motors Nexon spy shot reveals tail-lamp and rear design pattern

While Tata Motors is still prepping up to launch its cross-over Hexa, at the same time it is said to be testing its new compact SUV called Nexon. The upcoming car was showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 and is expected to be launched in 2017. While a spy shot was leaked earlier showing the front of the car, a recent spy photo gives us an idea of it will look from the back. Thanks to the leaked photo, we can see the U-shaped tail lamps of the car. According to reports, Tata has been testing the Nexon SUV for quite a while now. We can’t see much from the spy shot as most of the car is under camouflage. As per reports however, the U-shaped position strips will by powered by LEDs, while the brake lights will be regular bulbs located in a triangular section of the tail-lamp. The lamps for lighting the registration plate area also seem to be powered by LEDs. The two tail-lamps are connected by a colour-painted panel that contrasts with the exterior colour in top-end variants. Expect the top-end Tata Nexon variants to get projector headlights, a ceramic side finish, contrast roof, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, fog-lamps and gloss black finish for the wide grille. According to design chief Pratap Bose, it draws inspiration from Tata’s ‘IMPACT’ design language. It features chrome Humanity Line on the upper grille along with projector headlamps and daytime running lamps (DRLs).  Along with the Hexa, Tata has delayed the launch of the Nexon as the company is re-evaluating the strategy of its upcoming models . The Nexon SUV is expected to come with a price tag in the range of Rs 6.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh and will rival Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV 300.
