Fiat expected to announce special edition Punto Karbon and Linea Royal in India

A number of car makers have offered special deals and offers for customers who are looking to buy a new car this festive season. The latest one comes from Fiat which is offering special editions of their sedan Linea as well as their hatchback Punto Evo. These special editions are being called the ‘Punto Karbon’ and ‘Linea Royal’. While we are still awaiting a confirmation from Fiat, reports suggest that it will only come with some cosmetic changes. Expect a refreshed cabin in both the Fiat Punto Karbon and Fiat Linea Royal. The former will come with an all black color scheme, while the latter will get orange leather interiors. Moving to the exterior, both the cars will get their respective badges as well as new body graphics, along with more sportier alloy wheels and black roof rails. There won’t be any changes in the engine department so expect the same 1.2L Fire Dynamic petrol engine with 67bhp and 96Nm of torque. While the diesel engine will be the the 1.3-litre T-Jet engine that produces 75bhp and maximum torque of 197Nm. Both the engines come with a 5-speed manual transmission box. The Punto Royal will also get the same 1.4L T-Jet Fire engine that offers a peak power of 112bhp and peak torque of 207Nm. The new Punto Royal might also get a diesel version with slightly better performance. Price expected for the Punto Karbon is Rs 5.20 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi), while the Linea Royal could start at Rs 8.20 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi).
