Yamaha Fazer 250 spotted; expected to arrive by year end

The Japanese motor company Yamaha is going to bring a new 250 cc Fazer variant called as Yamaha Fazer 250. The bike spotted on Rushlane.com, shows a muscular front fairing and dual-tone shades on the bike. The motorcycle is expected to be launched later this year.

According to the report, the bike will be powered by a 250 cc single cylinder engine. The engine is expected to deliver a peak power of 20.9 PS at 8,000 rpm and provide peak torque of 20 Nm at 6,000 rpm. The engine is tuned with a six-speed gear box as reported by the website. Most of the parts on the new Yamaha Fazer 250 such as suspension, tyres, alloys, breaks, instrument cluster to name a few, are reported to be same as on the FZ25. The engine of the new Yamaha Fazer 250 is same as the recently launched Yamaha FZ25.

The Yamaha Fazer 250 is expected to be 10-15 kg heavier than the naked FZ25. The price of the bike that is expected to be released later this year and will range between Rs 1.4 - 1.5 lakh in India. The pictures posted on the website shows split seats, alloy wheels, disc brakes, wider tubeless tyres and an LED tail-light cluster at the rear end of the motorcycle.

Yamaha launched the naked FZ 25 earlier this year. The bike features a 249 cc 4-stroke, 2-valve, Air-cooled engine which provides a maximum power of 20.9 PS at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 20.0 Nm at 6,000 rpm. It has a 14-liter fuel-tank and feature digital Speedometer, Fuel consumption indicator. The bike is priced at Rs 1.19 lakh in India.
