Renault India to introduce 7-seater vehicle in 2018; could be the Grand Scenic MPV

While 2017 will see Renault bring its **Captur crossover** to India. The French automaker has plans to introduce one new model in the market every year. Keeping the new plan in mind, the company told ETAuto that it is looking to introduce a new 7-seater MPV in the coming year, which could turn out to be the Renault Grand Scenic. [caption id=“attachment_4090239” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] The Renault Grand Scenic MPV[/caption] Renault India’s current 7-seater offering includes the Lodgy, one that has been in the market for quite a while now. But its success with larger vehicles only came with the Duster, which planted its name in the SUV market in India. The vehicle has been codename RBC. Considering that Renault is expected to launch something new, all hints point towards the Renault Grand Scenic, an MPV that has yet to enter the Indian market. The vehicle was inspired by the R-SPACE concept car and is currently available in the UK with a variety of petrol, diesel and transmission options. The Captur is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 11 lakh to 15 lakh.
