Maruti Suzuki has launched its all-new 2018 Swift on the second day of the Auto Expo , India’s biennial car show.
The much-awaited Maruti Suzuki Swift has been launched and was the highlight of the Maruti Suzuki stand. Pricing starts from Rs 4.99 lakh and goes all the way up to 7.96 lakh for the top-end diesel version.
The car is built on the new ‘Heartect’ platform that makes it lighter and more rigid than the previous model.
The design too has grown up and now looks a lot more modern compared to the early 2000s concept design that the automaker has been ruminating over and over again. There’s an updated cabin and new LED headlamps and DRLs as well.
The Swift is available in both petrol and diesel models.
The 1.2-litre K-Series engine produces 82 bhp and 182 Nm of peak torque.

The diesel model comes with 1.3-litre DDIS engine that generates 74 bhp and 190 Nm of peak torque. A 5-speed manual transmission will be offered on both models the added option to go in for an auto gear shift (AGS) or an AMT unit.
