Audi A5 Sportback, A5 Cabriolet and S5 launched in India; price tags start from Rs 54 lakh

Audi India has finally announced not one but three new models of the A5. The new range now includes the new A5 Sportback, the A5 Cabriolet and the S5 (a sportier version of the A5 sedan) all of which start from Rs 54 lakhs. [caption id=“attachment_4112675” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] The Audi S5 Coupé[/caption] The Audi A5 Sportback sedan sits at lower end at Rs 54.02 lakhs, while the A5 Cabriolet is priced slightly higher at Rs 67.51 lakh with the sporty S5 priced at Rs 70.60 lakh. Both the Audi A5 and the S5 look identical on the outside. They both get the sculpted bonnet along with the hexagonal grille treatment seen on the new range of Audi vehicles. The roofline slopes down gradually into the boot since these are the Sportback models. The interiors too get an upgrade with the Audi Virtual cockpit replacing the standard analog instrument cluster. The Audi A5 is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine which produces 190 PS and 400 Nm and is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Cabriolet gets the same powertrain as the A5 Sedan. [caption id=“attachment_4112669” align=“alignnone” width=“1280”] The Audi A5 Cabriolet[/caption] The sportier S5 comes with a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine that produces 354 PS and 500 Nm but is mated to an 8-speed transmission sending power to all four wheels using the Quattro system.
