has finally launched the 2017
Jeep Compass
in India, with prices starting at Rs 14.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the manual Sport trim with a petrol engine. Bookings for the 2017 Jeep Compass was already made available a month ago on the company’s website as well as across showrooms. [caption id=“attachment_3875725” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]

facility at Ranjangaon near Pune and the Compass is the company’s first locally manufactured product in India. The base variant comes with a 1.4-litre MultiAir petrol that makes more than 162PS of power and 250Nm. The diesel model of the Jeep Compass Sport will make use of a 2.0-litre unit that makes 173PS and 350Nm. The Compass Limited trim will also be available which comes with a choice of both petrol and diesel engines. The Compass Longitude, however, will only get the 2.0-litre diesel engine. Side view 2017 Jeep Compass Limited driven off-road[/caption] The top-of-the-line Compass Limited 4x4 priced at Rs 20.65 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) has Jeep’s Active Drive 4x4 System which has a rear axle disconnect that seamlessly switches between two and four-wheel drive to help increase efficiency. The Compass Limited variant also gets a 7.0-inch U-connect infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
