F1 2016: Hamilton ends winless streak with victory at Monaco
Botched pitstop robs Red Bull Racing's Daniel Ricciardo of first; Sahara Force India's Sergio Perez takes third place
Lewis Hamilton won the 2016 Monaco GP, nearly halving the championship lead that Mercedes AMG F1 team-mate Nico Rosberg has managed to amass thus far in the 2016 season. Finishing second was Red Bull Racing's Daniel Ricciardo, who was the fastest man on track for most of the weekend, and would likely have won the event if his team hadn't botched up his pitstop, leaving him stranded in the box while they struggled to get the tyres to he needed to him. Third place went to Sahara Force India's Sergio Perez, who put in a good drive to finish...
Verstappen's car, pushed onto the sausage kerb at the Turn One chicane, ended up with its back wheel rolling over the top of his rival's Mercedes, narrowly missing Hamilton's head.
Daruvala, who had sealed his second Formula 2 win with a dominating drive in the second sprint race on Saturday, was sluggish from second and clocked 56:41.936.
Bottas finished the 18-lap dash 2.325 seconds ahead of Verstappen but will start at the back of the grid on Sunday as he is going to take a new power unit and will receive a penalty for doing so.
