EICMA 2016: Honda brings in refreshed versions of the CBR650F and CB650F

Here are some more updates. Honda has announced new versions of its popular CBR650F and the CB650F naked. Announced at the ongoing EICMA show in Italy, the 2017 edition of the new bikes are said to have received slight increase in power and features new equipment. It still gets the same 649cc, liquid-cooled, inline–four engine as before but thanks to a new intake and exhaust flow system, the engine now produces 89.8PS at 11,000rpm and 64Nm at 8,000rpm. According to the company, the increase in power will be felt from 5,000rpm onwards and with shorter gearing, the new bikes should launch quicker. The CB650F will reach 100kmph faster as it is 5kgs lighter than the CBR650F. The CBR650F gets an updated fairing which is sportier than before and now channels air from the front into the airbox intake duct. It gets a new all-LED headlamp unit along with the 2017 CBR Fireblade’s paint scheme. The CB650F gets the same LED headlamp and slim fairing giving it a mean look. Both come with a digital, twin-pod instrument cluster, new 41mm Showa Dual Bending Valve (SDBV) forks upfront, a monoshock at the rear that can be adjusted, dual 320mm discs upfront and a 240mm disc at the rear. The Nissin brakes have been updated and ABS is standard. Expect the 2017 versions to reach India by June next year. 2017-honda-cbr-650f-eicma-15
