Ducati and Diesel unveil the limited edition Ducati Diavel Diesel

Ducati Design Center and the Creative Manager for Diesel Licensing, Andrea Rosso have collaborated to make the Ducati Diavel Diesel. Diesel has also produced a Ducati Capsule collection, a line of apparel that matches the motorbike. The two Italian companies had previously collaborated on another motorbike, the Ducati Monster Diesel in 2012. The bike has a retro-futuristic and post apocalyptic design. The Ducati Diavel Diesel is a limited edition and only 666 (You get it, right? Diavel?) of these will be produced. [caption id=“attachment_358253” align=“aligncenter” width=“640”]  Image: Ducati[/caption] The bike was unveiled at the Milan Men’s Fashion Week, to background music provided by The Bloody Beetroots. The Ducati Diavel Diesel will also be presented at the Motor Bike Expo, between 20 to 22 January in Verona, Italy. The bike is expected to go on sale worldwide, from April 2017. The apparel collection, with Jogg jeans, a leather jacket, and two T-Shirts, will also go on sale from April 2017. The details characterizing the Diavel Diesel cannot fail to captivate connoisseurs of special bikes but also people from different walks of life, such as fashion. It’s always stimulating for us to move outside the world of motorcycling and widen our brand’s areas of interest” [caption id=“attachment_358257” align=“aligncenter” width=“640”]  Image: Ducati[/caption] The engine is a Ducati Testastretta 11° Dual Spark that provides 162 HP of power and 130 Nm of torque. The engine is a development of the championship winning Ducati Corse engines, and can be micromanaged with the Ride-by-Wire management system. There are three riding modes, to adjust the power, the engine output and the traction control. Riders can switch between engine modes on the fly, immediately affecting the motorbike. The bike is equipped with the Ducati Safety Pack (DSP). The Ducati Safety Pack includes the  Brembo brake system, Bosch antilock brake system, and Ducati Traction Control with eight levels. The lateral air intake covers, the LCD Dashboard and the Brembo brake calipers are all red. The air intake covers are made of red methacrylate and have the Ducati logo. There are five red links on the chain. The tank cover is hand brushed stainless steel and has a steampunk style visible welding and rivets. The front cowl and the passenger saddle cover also have visible welding and rivets. [caption id=“attachment_358262” align=“aligncenter” width=“640”]  Image: Ducati[/caption] A pyramid motif is used multiple times in the bike, on the saddle, the mudguard and in the billet endcaps of the exhaust. The pyramid stands for the three Ds of the bike, Ducati, Diavel and Diesel. The exhaust tubes are coated with black Zircotec ceramic, with black silencers. The mudguard is also matte black. A bike cover and a rear stand are provided along with the bike. The frame has a number plate with a custom number for the bike.
