Car manufacturers in India to start displaying emissions data and horn noise level in showrooms

From July 1, 2016 onwards, prospective new car buyers will be able to compare emission related data along with the horn noise level of their shortlisted makes and models, before finalising a purchase. The ministry of road transport and highways has advised all vehicle manufacturers to reveal the emissions data of their petrol, diesel as well as CNG and LPG vehicles along with the noise levels of the factory fitted horns.
