German car-maker BMW has refreshed its complete 2 Series which includes the cabriolet, coupe and the M-variant. The update is more of a light facelift including minor tweaks here and there. According to BMW, the new 2 Series comes with a more ‘striking design,’ the LED headlights as well as the interiors have been updated to add a more ‘sporty flair.’ Considering what BMW has announced, the changes are hardly noticeable. The good thing though is, that all three variants including the 2 Series Coupe, Cabriolet and the M2 have been updated at one go. The bad news is, We don’t expect any changes in the engines. This means the petrol range will go from the basic 1.5-liter engine producing 134 bhp on the 218i all the way up to the 240i featuring a 3-litre 335 bhp motor. As for the diesel models, the basic 218d with its 2-litre motor produces 148 bhp which goes up to the 221 bhp unit on the 225d. Transmission options vary from six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic. The top of the line variants can be combined with xDrive four-wheel drive option as well. The performance variant, which is the M2, also gets the same its 365 bhp 3-litre turbocharged engine with a rear-wheel drive.
