German automobile maker BMW will adding a new SUV to its line-up as it recently teased the upcoming X2. The new X2 will be the sixth SUV from the company and should sit between the X1 and the X3. The ongoing Paris Auto Show will be the stage where the company will showcase the X2 concept, give more details about the car itself as well as production plans. A teaser video has been released by BMW that gives out subtle details of the SUV and a world premiere date of 29th September 2016. The videos shows the concept car under wraps and it seems that it will offer slimmer headlights making it more distinguishable from the X1. It will be close to the final production model which is expected to arrive next year. The X2 is expected to be a refined and sportier version of the X1 including a lowered roofline and a raked windscreen. It is expected to also have the same slanted roof as the X4. The production car is suggested to be based on the UKL platform, which means a front-wheel drive will be standard with an optional all-wheel-drive.No information about the kind of engine that BMW will use but one can expect the same performance of an X3.
