The all new E-Class is scheduled to be officially unveiled at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show next week but German magazine Auto-Presse has shared what look like official photographs of the all new E-Class. The images have been taken down since but they’re already all over the Internet. In the meanwhile, Mercedes has revealed a teaser video of the new E’s stunning LED headlamps doing their thing

Like the new C-Class, we expected the E-Class to be based on the S-Class and there are no real surprises here. The car looks like a bigger version of the C-Class and it’s going to be really hard for anyone but a diehard enthusiast to tell one from the other two. This is probably the first time in Mercedes-Benz history that all three of its sedans look so similar.

What’s going to work really well in the new E’s favour is its cabin that takes a huge amount of influence from the S-Class. It gets the same design theme with the curved dashboard that flows into the door panels and a similar one-piece glass display that works as both the driver’s instrument cluster and the display for the infotainment system.

We expect the E-Class to ship with a range of four- and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines. Confirmation should come on January 11, 2016 at the official unveil. Meanwhile, Mercedes revealed the interior earlier this year in what they called a ‘preview video’. Take a look below to properly comprehend just how luxurious and high quality this cabin seems to be.
