Right after announcing the new Elantra , Hyundai is planning to showcase the updated version of the Verna. The 2017 Hyundai Verna is scheduled to launch at the Chengdu Motor Show in China tomorrow but official banners and posters have already lifted the wraps. The new Verna will borrow the latest design language which was seen on the new Elantra. So basically you can expect a chrome finished hexagonal grill, accentuated crease lines, new headlamps with projector and LED daytime running lights elements. According to some reports the new car is 4,380 mm long, 1,728 mm wide, 1,460 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm which is 30 mm longer than current generation. Hyundai is said to offer 1.4 and 1.6-litre petrol engines in the Chinese market with the option of 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions. There is a possibility that India will get the petrol variants along with 1.4 and 1.6-litre diesel engines as well. More info is expected post the official launch event. Autohome.com.cn
