Audi India has announced the launch of its facelifted Audi Q3 with price tags starting from Rs 34.2 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The mid-size SUV comes with an updated design, new features and a new 2.0-litre TDI engine that will now be available in two states of tune.
The design looks similar to the previous model of Audi Q3 with changes to the front that include a new and updated grille that now looks more at home with the rest of the new Audi lineup. There are 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights with the redesigned Audi LED DRLs.
As mentioned earlier, the new 2.0-litre diesel will be available in two states of tune and they both come with a couple of differences.
The less powerful variant comes with the same engine, but produces 148bhp and develops a peak torque of 340Nm. It is mated to a 7-speed S-tronic automatic gearbox that gets the SUV going from 0-100kmph in 9.3 seconds. This is the standard model for the new Audi Q3 and comes with a front-wheel drive (FWD) set up only.
Next up is the more powerful 2.0-TDI variant that develops 181bhp and 380Nm of torque. The difference apart from the power rating is that you get the Audi quattro all-wheel drive (AWD) system.
Speaking about the new Audi Q3 models, Rahil Ansari, Head, Audi India, said, “The Audi Q3 has been a segment leader ever since its introduction apart from being our best-selling model. The market has been evolving rapidly and we have always stayed ahead of the curve by constantly updating the Audi Q3 to enhance its appeal and make it more relevant for our customers. The new Audi Q3 is the benchmark with new engine options, attractive new features and an enviable list of standard equipment upping its desirability quotient immensely. We are confident that this will attract many more Audi fans to join the Audi family.”
The updated Audi Q3 comes soon after the launch of the A3 Cabriolet (which was a facelift) and the Audi A4 diesel both of which went on sale in India last month.
