2017 Audi A3 launched in India from Rs 30.5 lakh onwards; available in two variants

After launching the 2017 Audi A3 Convertible in February, Audi India has now announced its 2017 Audi A3 sedan. The facelifted sedan comes with minor cosmetic changes but arrives with a new petrol engine and will be available in two variants with price tags starting from Rs 30.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Indeed, Audi has taken its time with the sedan model arriving almost a two months after the cabriolet. The price tags of the Premium Plus variants of the 2017 Audi A3 sedan start from Rs 30.5 lakh for the petrol model while the diesel mode is priced at Rs 32.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Technology variant is priced higher at Rs 34.25 lakh and 35.8 lakh respectively.   The new updates would include some minor cosmetic and mechanical modifications to the models that would include revised headlamps, tail lamps and a new engine.  The cabin is now all-black, with added creature comforts like climate control, seven-inch infotainment display that works well with the new parking sensors. Also added to this list is a panoramic sunroof and a wireless charging point that sits at the front armrest.  Coming to the engine, the old 1.8-litre model will be replaced by a 1.4-litre unit that produces 148bhp and 250Nm of torque. The same will be paired to a 7-speed S-tronic transmission that as always, sends power to the front wheels. The diesel burner features a 2.0-litre 35TDI that produces 139bhp/320Nm of torque that powers the front wheels using a 6-speed DSG Automatic transmission.
