Jaguar India has launched a successor to the popular XF sedan that will now be available with new features, trim levels and a new starting price at Rs 49.5 lakh. Tata-owned Jaguar will be bringing the updated sedan in three new trims called the standard-spec Pure, the mid-spec Prestige and top-spec Portfolio that starts from 62.10 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new Jaguar XF features the new Ingenium 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 177hp and 430Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre petrol engine produces 237hp and 340Nm of torque. The Ingenium diesel engine will be available with all three trims, while the petrol engine is reserved for the Prestige and Portfolio trim only. Both engines are mated to an automatic gearbox.
As for the performance figures, this baby Jaguar with the diesel can go from 0-100kph in 8.1 seconds while the petrol achieves the same in 7 seconds. The new XF features a slightly refreshed design with a revised front air dam and new alloy wheels. Different trim levels can get you a bigger touch screen display, better headlamps and electronically adjustable front seats. The wheels get larger with the top-spec Portfolio trim, offering 18-inch wheels and 14-way adjustable electric front seats as well.
All models also get the Jaguar Drive Control that alters steering, throttle and gearbox response to work with varying levels of fuel efficiency, performance or driving conditions.
