Counting of votes to the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly Election 2019 and 90-member Haryana Assembly Election 2019 will begin at 7.30 am on Thursday (24 October}. Polling in both the states was conducted on 21 October. In Maharashtra, the voter turnout was 60.83 percent while in Haryana it was 68.47 percent. While Maharashtra had 95,473 polling booths for an electorate of 8,95,62,706 to decide the fate of 3,237 candidates, Haryana similarly had 19,425 polling booths for a voter size of 1,82,98,714 to elect among 1,169 contesters. Exit polls conducted by News18-IPSOS predict 243 seats for BJP-Shiv Sena combine and 41 seats for Congress and allies in Maharashtra and 75 seats for BJP and 10 for the Congress in Haryana respectively.
