Cacaoté’s story begins with the coming together of passionate individuals, Vraj and Rita, a mother-son duo. At Cacaoté, they are dedicated to bringing the finest Belgian chocolate experiences to India. They select the finest ingredients from across the globe and blend traditional practices with cutting-edge kitchen technology —ensuring that every confection from Cacaoté is a masterpiece.
Talking about chocolates, Chef, Jonathan Gallet says, “What drew me to it was its ability to evoke emotions and memories. Crafting with chocolate allows me to push boundaries, combining artistry with precision. It’s not just about dessert, it’s about creating an experience that lingers long after the last bite.”
They don’t source the beans directly. “We work with our trusted partners in France, Valrhona. They source their cacao beans from regions in Central and South America, known for their exceptional quality and rich flavour profiles. Valrhona’s commitment to sustainability and ethical practices ensures that the beans we use meet the highest standards, both in taste and responsibility,” adds Chef.
The Star Anise Bon Bon is truly a star and is also the Chef’s personal favourite. It’s an extraordinary combination of creamy chocolate and the bold, aromatic flavor of star anise. The unique spiced note adds depth and intrigue, making it a standout among our collection. “It’s indulgent yet sophisticated, embodying everything I love about chocolate,” he further adds.
The Chef’s favourite chocolate memory was when he first started creating chocolate delicacies. He says, “The silky texture of the chocolate as I worked with it was mesmerizing, and sharing the finished creations with my family brought me immense joy. Seeing their reactions and knowing I could spread happiness through something I made was an unforgettable feeling and continues to inspire my craft.”
