Amar Singh Art Gallery is currently the home of a special exhibition Hélène de Beauvoir: The Woman Destroyed. With this, Amar Singh has brought the first ever solo exhibition of Hélène de Beauvoir’s work in London. This exhibition at Amar Singh Art Gallery features paintings & works on paper from the 1950s to1980s, and has been attracting art enthusiasts from all over the world.
Recently, actor Billy Porter came to Amar Singh Art Gallery and met the founder of this art house, Amar Singh, revelling in the art work of Hélène de Beauvoir. The actor and the art connoisseur interacted over their shared love of art while embracing the underrated work of Hélène at her time.
Amar Singh Art Gallery has become a name synonymous to excellence in the UK’s art culture, with the gallery becoming a hub for consistently discovering overlooked artists. Amar Singh also became the first gallerist to show the work of Lynne Drexler in London. It took him three years to put together this latest exhibition of Hélène de Beauvoir’s work. He sourced her works from around the world, met patrons of de Beauvoir and discovered how important Hélène de Beauvoir was to her sister and the global feminist movement.
