Expressing condolences to the families of those who died in the train tragedy at Dhamara Ghat in Khagaria district in Bihar on Monday, former railway minister Dinesh Trivedi said that it is high time India modernises its railways."I think if we do not really get down to modernise the railways this is going to be frequent occurances," Trivedi told CNN-IBN.Saying it is not correct to indulge in blame games, the former Union railway minister said had the behaviour pattern of the people who were killed been studied, this also could have been avoided. Trivedi suggested that India should employ the Japanese model of bullet trains where in 47 years not a single person has died on the tracks so far.
