The Telangana issue is a very emotive and difficult decision for any one to take. But this issue should not be whittled down to just sectarian interests because that would be disregarding the movement that has gone on for so long.

Anti-rape law: Contrary views is democracy at work

The gender neutrality clause in the anti-rape law cannot be washed away just because some members feel that way. The contrary view is also equally important and therefore even if it means that it will take more time the bill will have to wait.

10 to 20 percent leakage should not end a social scheme

Any social equity scheme such as the farm loan waiver or NREGS will have a leakage of 10 to 20 percent but that is no reason why the schemes should be promulgated.
