If the strange events happening around Pokemon Go weren't enough, here is one more to add to the craze. Ever imagined winning a chance to go around the world, that too, to catch Pokemon? Well, that just happened to this man from Brooklyn, USA, reported Business Insider.
Just few days back, Nick Johnson, 28 became the first person to catch all the Pokemon in the USA. Now, the Pokemon Go player has earned himself a free trip around the world, to complete his Pokemon collection.
According to Travel and Tour World, the free trip is being sponsored by Marriott Rewards and Expedia.
The Pokemon Go video game has 151 characters out of which 142 are available in the US, six of them are unknown and yet to be launched, while three others are in other parts of the world. Johnson who claimed to have caught nearly all of them, is set to travel around the world to catch the remaining three characters, according to CNN.
Johnson will be visiting Paris, Hong Kong, Sydney and other places across the world on this Pokemon journey to collect region specific characters Mr. Mime, Farfetch'd and Kangaskhan, according to Business Insider. He also plans to get in touch with local Pokemon Go player communities in the various countries.
Johnson will be blogging about the Pokemon collection journey which will begin on 5 August.
Johnson, however, may not be the only one with such a startling record in Pokemon Go. The Mirror reported that Ahmed Ali in London, UK, has collected 145 Pokemon characters, including one in US and two Asia and Australia rarities.
