No Islam in Islamic State: Muslims unite on Twitter to condemn Paris attacks

Shocked and disgusted, the world has condemned the Paris attacks in a unified voice. Islamic State militants targeted innocent people, people who were watching an Eagles of Death Metal concert, people who were watching a football game, people who were eating out. [caption id=“attachment_2508040” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]The Paris terror attack killed at least 129 people. Reuters The Paris terror attack killed at least 129 people. Reuters[/caption] On Friday night, seven planned and coordinated terror strikes executed by suicide bombers and gunmen wreaked havoc on the streets of Paris, resulting in the deaths of over a hundred innocent civilians. However, the entire Muslim world has berated this assault on freedom. There was nothing ‘Islamic’ about it, they have said. Voices of Muslims, who have stood in solidarity with Parisians, echoed on Twitter too. Expressing their anger over the incident and how it casts a shadow over the entire Muslim world, people tweeted in support of Paris and Islam with #IAmAMuslim and denounced the terror attacks, calling them cowardly. Their message is clear: Islam doesn’t preach hatred and violence.
