Night Tube service chugs off in London for the first time

London's first night-time Tube train finally took off from the Brixton station, 19 August. It will run all night on parts of the Central and Victoria lines on Friday and Saturday nights. Reuters

The Tube train was waved off by Mayor Sadiq Khan after a huge delay. Two years ago, the current foreign secretary Boris Johnson initiated the project. London will now have a 24-hour service on the underground like New York, Sydney and Berlin. Reuters

Around 50,000 people used the 24 hour service on the day of the launch. BBC reported that the Night Tube service will reach 200,000 people very soon, BBC reported. Reuters
