SANTIAGO A case of Zika virus has been identifed on mainland Chile for the first time, local media reported on Tuesday.
Citing the Chilean association of infectious diseases, broadcaster 24 Horas said the case concerned a man who had travelled to Colombia, where the virus is circulating. It is transmitted by mosquitoes.
