It seems Apple hasquietly launchedApple TV in India. The device was added to its list of products on the official website under the iPod section (weird). The device is available for Rs 8,295 according to BGR India which spotted the change first.
It seems Apple TV device will be hitting the stores in a couple of days. According to ThinkDigit, an Apple India representative also stated that the company was looking at partnering with Indian content providers to stream content using Apple TV. So Netflix might not be here yet but Indian content might be on its way soon.
The device is a media streamer which will let you share content from your Apple devices and the content you download from iTunes to your HDTV. You can connect it to your HDTV through HDMI port. It also comes with the option of AirPlay and AirPlay Mirroring.
