Mumbai: Rajasthan Royals have signed up four new players who will represent the team in the upcoming Indian Premier League, commencing in Kolkata on April 3. Kerala\'s one-day captain Sachin Baby, wicketkeeper Sanju Viswanath Samson, Jharkhand medium pacer Rahul Shukla and Mumbai left arm spinner Harmeet Singh are all set to join the team\'s training camp soon to prepare for the sixth edition of the T20 league, said a media release here today. The Royals will be captained by Rahul Dravid, while Paddy Upton would be their high performance coach.
The Rajasthan Royals said they plan to launch a full appeal against the Enforcement Directorate Order that directs them to pay Rs. 100 crore for allegedly violating forex laws in its business operations. The agency, which issued the penalty notice after a two years of investigations under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), has sent out three separate notices to the IPL franchise totalling to Rs. 98.5 crore plus some other similar notices earlier, sources said.
Rajasthan Royals owners Jaipur IPL Pvt Ltd (JIPL) have run into trouble with the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The company has been found to have committed several irregularities, including foreign exchange law violations.
