The seemingly never ending Apple vs Samsung patent war has several new additions this week.
Just last week, US Magistrate Judge Paul Grewal in San Jose, California allowed Samsung Electronics add the iPhone 5 to its suit against Apple, and also granted permission to Apple for filing patent infringement claims against the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, Galaxy S III and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
Now it seems Samsung has also expanded its list and added the iPad mini, the 4th generation iPad and 5th generation iPod touch to the lawsuit, reports TechCrunch.
Remember Apple won the earlier US lawsuit against Samsung over patent infringement and was awarded nearly $1.05 bn in damages. However the number could change drastically once the final plea is heard on 6 December.
According to a Bloomberg report, this current case which involves the S III, the iPhone 5 and Galaxy Note 10.1 is scheduled for trial in 2014.
Samsung claims the iPhone 5 infringes eight of its patents, including the use of Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology for 4G networks. To know the full list of patents click here.
