‘Only’ Rs 3.85 cr, the Aston Martin Vanquish is here!

by Aug 8, 2012

Good news for all luxury car lovers! Aston Martin just launched the 2012 Vanquish in India reports OverDrive. The price? a whopping Rs 3.85 crore. Staring and longing is free.

So what’s this machine like and why the exorbitant price tag? The Vanquish comes with a naturally aspirated 573PS 6.0-litre V12 engine and mated to a Touchtronic 2 six-speed automatic gearbox. O and it goes from 0-100 kmph in 4.1 seconds, which is insanely fast for car but whether its a smart move on Indian roads is debatable. It has a top speed of 295kmph.

The Vanquish will be sold through Performance Cars, Aston Martin’s exclusive Mumbai dealership and you can choose between the 2+2 or 2+0 versions of the car.

According to the Wall Street Journal, the car is a redesign of a top-of-the-line two-sear GT, which was launched by the luxury car maker nearly a decade back.

Commenting on the launch of the Vanquish in India, Lalit Choudary, managing director of Infinity Cars Private Limited said, “This is the latest incarnation of everything Aston Martin knows, informed and developed from One-77. It is the ultimate Super Grand Tourer – confident and assured – and is the newest representation of power, beauty and soul.”
