by Nov 22, 2012

For those who are eagerly awaiting the launch of Nokia’s latest devices in India, the wait could be over sooner than you think. According to a report by IBN-Live which quotes a source familiar with the development,  Nokia’s latest flagship devices, the Lumia 920 and 820 could be launched in India by mid-December.

It was initially reported that the devices would be launched in November around Diwali but for some reason, Nokia gave India the slip.

The Lumia 920 and 820 both run Microsoft’s latest mobile OS, Windows Phone 8 and are seen are as a do or die for both the companies. Rival HTC had announced the price for its own Windows Phone 8 devices, the HTC 8X and 8S in India earlier this month. The HTC 8X will cost Rs 35,023 while the HTC 8S will cost Rs 19,260.

Will Nokia get its price right when it launches the new devices in India? That remains to be seen.

Key features of the Lumia 920 are: It has a curved 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ screen. A dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 CPU with 1 GB RAM, 32 GB space and 7 GB storage in the cloud with SkyDrive for users.
