It seems Nokia is working on two new Asha phones, the Asha 502 and Asha 503. Pictures of the phones and specifications were leaked online by a tech blog called ThisIsNokia.
The website says that Asha 502 and Asha 503 will be unveiled in Q3 or Q4 of 2013. As far as specs are concerned, the Asha 502 will be slimmer and lighter than the Asha 501. It could come with a screen resolution of 360X640 pixels and a 5 megapixel camera. The processor is rumoured to be 1--1.2GHZ dual or single core.
According to the report, the Asha 503 could have a screen size between 3.2 to 4 inches and it could also support 4G. The report states that both phones will come with an improved Asha Platform with more features and better battery life.
Recently Nokia’s app Store for low-cost phones reached 2 billion app downloads in India with over 1 billion app downloads on Asha and S40 phones.
However the Asha 501 still doesn't have an app for WhatsApp which is strange given that at the launch of the phone, Nokia had assured users that app would be available soon.
