YouTube founders, Chad Hurley and Steve Chen seem to be on a buying spree these days. Just after being in the news recently for having bought over popular bookmarking website, Delicious, from Yahoo!, they are in the news again, this time for buying out Tap11.com, a social media analytics organization.
Tapping in effectively..
Tap11.com, as known by all in the commercial space is used extensively by consumers as well as organizations to monitor the performance of their campaigns on social networking sites. Tap11.com will now be used, along with Delicious in AVOS, their San Mateo based venture. Tap11.com can now be used by consumers and enterprises alike to keep a track, as well as study how effectively well their data is doing on social networking platforms like Facebook and Twitter. Since the user base on each of these sites is humongous; with the presence of a measuring medium like Tap11.com on their side, businesses can be made more effective.
Though the finalization of the deal has come through, the same cannot be said about the financial details of this deal.
