Xiaomi's Redmi 4A created a buzz in the budget-oriented smartphone segment when it launched back in March selling 2.5 lakh units on its first day of sale. Latest reports now show that the Redmi 5A could soon make its way to China, after an official poster of the smartphone was leaked, giving us a few more clues as to how the device may look.
According to a report by GizmoChina, the leaked Redmi 5A poster has more clues to ponder upon apart from the design of the smartphone. A first glance, the poster reveals that the 5A is not radically different than its predecessor in terms of design. The phone sports two antenna lines on the top of the smartphone along with the single camera lens and an LED flash above it. The speaker grill is also visible towards the bottom. However, the Redmi 5A does appear to be made of metal instead of plastic used earlier, though this bit of information could be taken with a pinch of salt.
The bottom of the poster also reveals that the smartphone comes with an 8-day standby battery life as well as the weight of the device which is stated to be 137g. The poster also states that the Redmi 5A will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and will run MIUI 9.
The information revealed by the poster falls into place with specifications gathered from an earlier report of a device rumoured to be the Redmi 5A. Based on what we know, the smartphone will have a 1.4 GHz processor and 32 GB of internal storage which is expandable via a microSD card. In terms of the camera, the Redmi 5A will likely get a 13 MP rear-sensor and a front-facing 5 MP camera.
The device has a 3,000mAh battery and supports 4G connectivity, dual-SIM support and Wi-Fi among others. Xiaomi may peg the Redmi 5A for a November release in China like the Redmi 4A last year.
