After Idea introduced their ‘new’ smartphones with lucrative 3G packages, yet another handset manufacturer, XAGE has introduced a new affordable, entry level handset to the low-cost handset segment. With a Rs.2,699 price tag attached to it, the M144 is capable of Dual SIM and Dual battery. The phone sports a classy three dimensional look with its ultra small track pad and metal body, says the company.

Here are some features of the M144 handset:
- 2.0-inch color screen
- 3.2 mega pixel camera
- microSd card support up to 8GB
- High Definition MP4 Player
- MP3 Audio Player
With the Indian mobile terrain being extensively accepted by more and more users with each passing day, the entry level market has been seeing devices with feature sets that seem to be getting better. One wouldn’t be surprised if a 3.2 megapixel camera, 8GB external memory support and capabilities like video and sound recording become synonymous to low-end handsets.
