ViewSonic is prepping the launch of 7-inch Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet later this month at Computex. According to Pocket-Lint’s “reliable sources”, the company will be unveiling the ViewSonic ViewPad 7x that will not be a replacement to the existing ViewPad 7, but rather sit above it in terms of placement as the first 7-tablet to come out with Honeycomb.
7x the fun?
Along with Android 3.0 Honeycomb, the ViewPad 7x will also boast of an NVIDIA Tegra 2 CPU, dual-cameras, HSPA+ and increased connectivity options. The tablet will weigh 380 grams with a rather colourful back panel and will also support DLNA and HDMI connectivity for media output.
The tablet is expected out in June, but there are no concrete details on exactly which version it’ll have – 3.0 or 3.1 – or its pricing. Hopefully these details will make it out when the Computex Trade Show kicks off in Taipei on May 31.
