UPDATE: The pricing of Creative's WP-Series has now been revealed. Creative had announced its latest WP-Series, just recently. Although it was revealed back then that the headphones will be available for sale, September 2011 onwards, nothing on its pricing was mentioned. The Creative WP-450, which is now available in the market comes with a price tag of Rs. 7, 999, while the WP-350 is for Rs. 5, 999 and the WP-250 comes with a price tag of Rs. 3, 599.
At Creative’s recent event, along with the Ziio Tablets that made it out were a host of wireless multimedia peripherals ranging from Bluetooth enabled headsets to wireless speaker systems like the T6 Pure.
The Creative WP-300 apt-X codec enabled wireless headphones are designed to allow users to listen to high quality music from their favorite A2DP Bluetooth enabled mobile device, such as a netbook, notebook, smartphone, iPhone, iPad or touch screen tablet. Its range is about 10 meters and fitted with Neodymium drivers with apt-X Bluetooth technology. The Flat-fold earcups design will let users fold and fit the headphones easily into bags and the control system on the headset is designed to facilitate easy access for adjusting the volume, changing tracks etc.
The Creative WP-300 Pure Wireless Headphones will be available in India at select outlets for Rs 7,499. That’s a bit steep but hold out for the full review where we’ll be able to tell you if the WP-300 is worth your investment.
Also announced at the event were 3 more headsets viz. the WP-450, WP-350 and WP-250, Bluetooth music listening and voice communication headphones with “invisible mic” designed for to be used with mobile phones.
The WP-450 is, according to Creative, capable of delivering up to 8 hours and talk time of up to 9 hours audio playback. Both the WP-450 and WP-350 will be available with Bundled with soft protective pouch for ease of travel and USB cable for charging. While these two headsets bear supra-aural designs and soft leatherette ear cushions, the WP-250 features an In-Ear and behind-the-neck design. All three devices are equipped with noise suppression and speech enhancement processing technology and easy access call and playback controls with volume level buttons.
