Two American Universities Use Wii Fit on their Football Teams

Two universities in the United States, Ohio State and University of Maryland are using Nintendo Wii Fit boards for their football teams. It's not to substitute football practice. It is to check whether the students playing football have suffered concussions.

Instead of spending tens of thousands of dollars on force plate machines, these universities have opted to spend a hundred dollars on the white plastic boards. The way it works is the players are made to to do yoga poses measuring their balance and play Table Tilt to test their coordination, before the game for a frame of reference, so coaches can determine whether players can continue playing by taking tests throughout the game.
