Twitter and Kindle Apps Announced for Windows Phone 7

While Rovio Mobile has said it's taking its time with launching Angry Birds for Windows 7, other organizations have already started preparations for the new platform. Both Twitter and Kindle have announced applications for Windows Phone 7. Amazon has said the Kindle application is free while going by the way Twitter applications for other devices work, it's bound to be free as well.

The Kindle application will be the first major ebook application for Windows Phone 7. It will follow Amazon's philosophy of "Buy One, Read Everywhere". Once you buy a book using the Windows 7 app, you can read it on any other device, be it an Android device, the iPad, or the Kindle itself.

The platform provides Pivots, which allow users to swipe to different sets of information within the application.
