The thing with gaming audio is, it doesn’t conform to theoretical ideas of “good sound”. A speaker that is great for gaming might sound very bad with music, and generally that is actually the case. Gaming needs tight bass, and more than that, a secondary characteristic known as spatiality. In other words the sounds should be spread out exactly as the developers intended it to be. This does not mean 5.1 only, even in a 2.1 system one can experience sexy soundstaging, which makes the faraway gunshots actually seem distant. We have shortlisted the 3 best systems, and as usual we have categorically listed them. Thus we have a winner in 2.1 system, a 5.1 PC speaker type system, and finally a full fledged Home theater speaker set, for the guys with balls (and money).
Razer Mako 2.1
This model is really great for only gaming, and rightfully so as it’s made specifically for that purpose. The looks are right up there with the black globular spaceship looking cabinets, which are similar for the sub and the satellites, thus the two sats look like little minions for the master evil sub.
