Digital storage company, Thecus Technology has announced the launch of its new storage product, the Thecus NAS N4200 which comes with Intel's Atom dual-core processor D510 and runs at a clock speed of 1.66GHz. In combination with this, there’s 1GB of DDR2 memory.
The new NAS 4200
The N4200 comes with dual displays. The LCD displays system information including hard disk and network status, while the 2.8-inch OLED display allows users to modify a number of settings directly on the device, including WAN, LAN, Link Aggregation, languages and more. It has four SATA II hard disk bays that offer up to 12 TB of storage capacity and to keep data safe, the N4200 comes with multiple RAID modes, including RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD.
The N4200 is also equipped with Dual DOM technology i.e., a Disk on Module (DOM) which contains all of the system's critical software and the OS. It uses a secondary DOM to reprogram the primary DOM in the event of a failure, and ensures maximum uptime and data availability along with a battery backup module (BBM).
The product is available at M. B. Solution Ltd. which is the National Sole Distributor for Thecus and it is priced at Rs. 84,900 for the 12TB version, while the 8TB costs Rs. 54,900.
